About memory card reader/writers

Introduction

A memory card reader/writer is a device, with a USB interface, for accessing data on a memory card such as a CompactFlash (CF), Secure Digital (SD) or Multimedia Card (MMC). Our card readers offer a write capability, this makes it very easy to organise your favourite photographs on a memory card for use with your digital photo frame.

This is our recommended method to use a digital photo frame, using a spare and large capacity memory card in a reader/writer to place all your favourite photographs on the card ready for displaying on the frame.

When the memory card reader/writer is connected to your computer it should automatically be detected as an external storage device; ensure that your memory card is inserted. Using windows explorer or similar, you can copy or 'drop and drag' the photographs and/or MP3 music files onto the memory card. When the memory card holds the desired photographs, it is simply a matter of removing the memory card from the memory card reader/writer and inserting into the digital photo frame. This process can be used to update your memory card with new photographs or refresh your photographs with different ones.

Please see the shopping pages for details of our latest digital photo frames, memory cards and memory card reader/writers.
